Its bin a few days since a post as i have been really busy with uni and trying to crack on with some dissertation!
However i have started creating some collages again which feature my new idea!
So i made some markmaking the other day, which i scanned into the computer. I then used 2015 trend colours and digitally coloured them in :) printed them out to collage with which i will then scan back into the computer and play around with them :)
I am creating design which will have much attention on the negative space of what i am cutting out. I want to remove the domestic contemporary object abd play around with the negative shapes which are left :)
I do blabble on sometimes, i dont know if i even understood what i was trying to say. so i am gunna shut up and show off some pics :)
Firstly this above pic is the positive space of contemporary furniture which i have collaged into some mid century inspired design (its still a work in progress)
then....
these left overs (scrappy parts) which are the negative space will be scanned into the computer for me to play around with which is very exciting!
The concept/synthesis is that i am collecting the left overs of design to abstract and by using the negative space of the object it removes the value placed upon the object which makes my designs accessable to the masses :)
Negative space tells as much about the product as the positive but i like how the negative space frames the object been drawn!
Its really deep minded which is kind of fine arty but thats what we got to try and do at uni :D
