So the dissertation was over a couple of weeks ago and i am now starting my Final Major Project.
I can't believe how fast uni has gone to this point and with only 4 months left i best make the most of the time i have left.
Firstly i just want to share my excitement for getting my dissertation grade back.... i received a really good solid First so i am over the moon.
Secondly like i said i've started my FMP and just thought i would share my 3 mood boards to showcase the Inspiration/Theme, Concept and Processes.
Inspiration/Theme: 1950s America, Diners, Motels, Signs, Roller Disco, Ice cream Parlour, Bowling, Cafe, Gas Station, Car Wash and the list goes on.
Concept: Nostalgia Vs Contemporary - creating contemporary interior patterns from a nostalgic theme. Is 1950s America a nostalgic place or is it always contemporary?
Process: Layers, Acetate, Texture, Mark Making, Overlapping, Offsetting, Digital, Collage, Paper, Craft
I can't wait to get my teeth into this last project and really push myself to design a collection of prints/patterns i am happy with. As you can see my obsession with Mid Century Design is something i love to feature within my work and design style. Somethings don't change.
